This is a recipe for making the popular Korean streetfood that often pairs well with tteokbokkii: Gimmari. Gimmari is glass noodles wrapped in seaweed paper, called gim. These are usually battered and deep fried, but this recipe shows you how to make it with an airfryer
Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp soysauce
- 2 Tsp sugar
- 1 cup glass noodles
- 1 packet of Korean seaweed (gim)
- 1 egg
- 1 Tbsp cornstarch
- 1-2 Tbsp Breadcrumbs
How to make Gimmari
- In a pot, boil the glass noodles
- In a bowl, season the boiled glass noodles (boiled 6 min) with 1 Tbsp soysauce and 2 tsp sugar
- In another bowl, mix 1 egg with 1 Tbsp of cornstarch
- Wrap a small portion of the noodles with some gim, and seal it with the egg mixture
- Brush the egg mix on top of the gimari
- Sprinkle breadcrumbs on top
- Spray some avocado oil in the airfryer and fry for 10 minutes at 400F. Enjoy!
